Shipping
Ship To Venue (before the conference):
If you are shipping items to the venue, packages may arrive no earlier than Monday, June 22, 2020. (If packages arrive earlier, you’ll be charged a drayage fee of $10/box/day.) Please clearly mark your boxes with:
- RMHC/your business name/booth number and
- CHEC – hold for arrival Wednesday 6/25/2019

Ship From Venue (at the close of conference):
Please carefully label all packages with your correct mailing address on pre-paid labels or ones that you have a charge account for.
Leave your packages and/or pallets in your vacated booth area for collection by hotel staff to ship out.
Sales Tax
The Crowne Plaza Denver Airport venue is in the city of Aurora, in Adams County, in the State of Colorado, with a Denver, CO address. The total sales tax to collect is 8.5%. See the websites below for both of the State Special Events Sales Tax license you will need to obtain, as well as the jurisdictions that you will need to pay the collected sales tax.
Please note: Christian Home Educators of Colorado (CHEC) and the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference (RMHC), as the event organizers, ARE NOT collecting sales tax on behalf of the exhibitors.
State Special Events Sales Tax License
This link (https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/tax/how-apply-special-event-license) provides detailed information on Colorado Special Event Sales tax licenses and how to pay those collected taxes. When you visit the page, use the box on the left and choose the links titled “Apply for a License” and “File Online” to complete your obligation to the State of Colorado.

Of the listed taxes, the state, RTD, cultural facilities and county tax will be paid via the State Special Events Sales tax forms and Aurora will be paid directly to the City of Aurora (see link below).
