Using Hands-On Activities to be a More Effective Teacher
June 15, 2019 @ 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm

Did you know that engaging multiple areas of the brain during learning activities can lead to better retention and recall? In this Make and Take Workshop, Ellen will explain how to incorporate hands-on activities into your teaching while sharing about the basic anatomy of the brain. During the workshop you will construct a paper “hemisphere hat” that shows the major lobes of the cerebrum, while demonstrating the effectiveness of hands-on activities. Takeaways include tips for finding free craft downloads for hand-on activities for many subjects. (Please Note: This workshop requires paid pre-registration in order to attend.)
