Kayla White
Lucy the Ladybug
Kayla is an author and homeschool graduate. She discovered a love of God’s creation at a young age; her earliest memories include catching and caring for insects with childhood friends. Over the years, this grew to include keeping journals of the insects’ lives and capturing metamorphosis transitions through her camera’s lens. She also loves music, a good book, and spending time with family and friends. To check out her blog, books (Lucy: A Ladybug’s Life and Melody: A Monarch Miracle), and other resources — including her newest children’s book on honeybees — go to LucyTheLadybug.com.
Speaker Sessions
Hazel: A Hard Working Honeybee Story Time
(Children’s Activity)
Children (ages 5-8) can join Kayla on a grand adventure! Does a girl honeybee only do one job during her life? How is a queen bee made? What happens to drones in the fall? Should we be scared of bees? Go on a “bee-lightful” journey with a honeybee as she grows up to nurse baby bees, keep house, wait on the royal queen, and work tirelessly to bring pollen and nectar into the hive for honey and bee bread. Along the way, your kiddos will learn about complex hive life, begin to dig into God’s incredible design and purposes for honeybees, and discover fascinating facts about honeybees — all while gleaning lessons we can learn about the Christian’s journey!
Melody: A Monarch Miracle Story Time
