Since childhood, Kenny has loved great stories. When God’s call intersected with that love in 2011, a passionate pursuit to become a kingdom storyteller began. His goal, and the goal of Sargent Family Productions, is to bring a holy entertainment experience to readers, viewers, and listeners. A devoted husband and longtime homeschool father, he lives with his wife and family in Colorado Springs.

The Craft of Story Interactive Workshop

A deep-dive, interactive workshop on the craft of great storytelling. Regardless of the chosen medium (writing, speaking, video, audio, virtual reality, etc.), the principles of a great story are timeless. No amount of flowing prose, visual effects, or wonderful music can make up for a weak story. Kenny Sargent will dive into the mechanics of strong writing and explore how to strengthen the actual words on the page to achieve maximum impact. The final part of this workshop focuses on identifying and streamlining your writing voice, as well as the habits and practices of great writers and communicators. There will be plenty of time for Q & A. Bring a notebook or device for note taking.
