Speaker Sessions

Responding Biblically to Temptation

(Biblical Worldview)

We all know that the Bible instructs us to flee evil desires, but how is that possible when the bait is so tempting? In this workshop, Lisa Schmidt will discuss the doctrine of sanctification, specifically as it relates to the work of the Holy Spirit coupled with our obedience to God’s commands in Scripture. We will learn how to respond biblically to temptation through the put off/put on process and also learn what it means to radically amputate sin from our lives.

Responding Biblically to Conflict

(Biblical Worldview)

Conflict began with Adam and Eve in the garden. Neither of them was willing to take responsibility for their own personal sin and instead blamed someone else for it. Not surprisingly, we do the same thing. We blame our spouse, our children, our parents, our past, our circumstances, and the list goes on and on. Some of us even blame God. The truth is that conflict in any relationship is always rooted in a spiritual problem. In this workshop, Lisa Schmidt will teach how to practically apply biblical truths in our own lives, as well as in the lives of those we disciple and counsel, and help begin restoring peace in our homes.

Responding Biblically to Guilt and Shame

(Biblical Worldview)

The feelings of guilt and shame should direct us to God, but oftentimes, they are left unresolved and spiral into other sins like fear, worry, anxiety, depression, or anger. Unfortunately, many Christians do not respond biblically to guilt and shame and end up repeating the same sinful habits over and over. In this workshop, you will learn from Lisa Schmidt how to respond biblically to and be free from guilt and shame. You will also learn how to practically apply these same biblical truths in the lives of those you disciple.

The Titus 2 Woman — Is She Relevant for Today?

(Biblical Worldview)

In the book of Titus, Paul explains that older women are commanded to teach the younger women. So, what is it that women are supposed to teach and subsequently learn from one another? To love their husbands, love their children, and take care of their homes. Is that even relevant in our society today? Please join Lisa Schmidt for this intriguing workshop as we discover the timeless truths from God’s Word about our biblical role as women. In this workshop, we will learn how to practically apply these truths in our own lives, as well as in the lives of those we disciple, and begin restoring biblical balance and unity in the home.
