How Studying Science Reveals God’s Character and Our Purpose

(Life Launch)

Just as a painter’s style and character are revealed through his paintings, we can see glimpses of God’s character in His Creation. The Bible mentions that He is light and living water. And as we study light and water, we understand His magnitude and see Him more clearly. Studying elements like salt, darkness, and light, or branches, vines, and grafting gives us deeper clues to what those biblical references truly mean to us. Join Sherri in this fun and fascinating discussion!

Ten Principles of Planning

(Homeschool How-To)

Homeschooling can certainly fill our days. Do we really have to take extra time to plan, too? After all, with toddlers, sports, sick children, car repairs, and intermittent unplanned events, we rarely ACTUALLY follow our plans anyway. Should we just do the bare minimum that is required for our records, or is there a genuine benefit to planning? It turns out that our God is a God of planning. He has had plans for us since the beginning of time! As we implement His principles of planning, we will begin to see that there are great blessings in planning our homeschooling endeavors. We will see that our hearts will be drawn to our children, and their hearts will be drawn to us and to the Lord.

Am I Ruining My Children? What I Wish I Had Known as a New Homeschool Mom

(Family Discipleship)

Let’s face it. At one time or another, we all feel that by homeschooling our children, they are missing out on “something.” Yet these worries come because we are living in the moment and can’t see the big picture. This workshop will talk you down from the cliff — or at least encourage you that homeschooling is the BEST thing for your children. Join Sherri in a humorous, informative, and revealing discussion as she shares how she went from stressing over teaching everything about everything to trusting in the path, resources, and experiences God had for her children.

Join thousands of other homeschoolers this June 12-14th at the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference. Expect to have a lot of fun and fellowship with other homeschool families, find great deals on curriculum, and get practical encouragement for your homeschooling at our workshops and general sessions!
