The Birth of Education in America

(Biblical Worldview)

The first public education law in American history was passed by the Pilgrims. This law identified that the primary purpose of the devil is to keep children from the knowledge of the Word of God; therefore, the focus of early education in America was unquestionably to help students grow in faith and learn the Bible. This remained a primary emphasis until the twentieth century. When progressives began to control education, they not only changed the emphasis, they changed the pedagogy. These changes have led to the worst academic performance of American students in our history. What were the primary objectives of education in previous generations when America had the highest academic performance in the world? The top three are easily repeatable.

Celebrate America

(Biblical Worldview)

America is a great nation. However, the modern telling of America’s story has been hijacked by agitators and academics with ulterior motives, and it now includes exaggerated tales of how she is uniquely evil. But is this true? Is America truly a nation birthed from slavery, genocide, and theft? Or is there more to the story? Somehow, we have enjoyed more freedom, stability, and prosperity than anywhere else in the world. What makes us different? What are the principles that birthed this nation? Can we restore the foundation that is actively eroding? Find out how we can follow the admonishment of the Biblical hero Nehemiah, “Come, let us rebuild…that we will no longer be a reproach.”

Religion and Morality are the Indispensable Supports

(Biblical Worldview)

George Washington’s Farewell Address is considered the most significant political address ever given by a president or politician in American history. In this address, he acknowledged that religion and morality were indispensable to the political prosperity and, ultimately, the stability and success of our nation. This position was echoed and affirmed by countless Founding Fathers, early educators, politicians, pastors, etc. But today, America is more secular than at any time in our history. In fact, we have created more secular and even anti-Christian spaces than ever before. Why did the Founding Fathers encourage religion and morality, and what did they mean by those phrases? Their writings give us a clear answer.
