Dr. Rosaria Butterfield
Speaker and Author
Dr. Rosaria Butterfield is an author, speaker, pastor’s wife, homeschool mom, and former professor of English and women’s studies at Syracuse University. She is the author of several books, including The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert, detailing her cataclysmic conversion and the Lord’s beautiful faithfulness. Openness Unhindered answers many questions about identity, repentance, and faith before the Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision (2015). The Gospel Comes with a Housekey shows how we can use hospitality in evangelism in a world that increasingly despises Christianity. In her book Five Lies of our Anti-Christian Age, Rosaria identifies the drastic shift against the Christian faith in our post-Obergefell world by identifying how LGBTQ+ has become the reigning idol of our day, codified in law.

Do Not Grow Weary
(Homeschool How-to)
Homeschooling is a marathon, not a sprint, and weariness, unpredictable terrain, and unexpected injuries are part of the marathon experience. Marathons demand commitment, fortitude, and courage. This presentation will encourage you, as a Christian homeschooler, to stay the course of the homeschooling marathon. Paul’s letter to the Galatians offers valuable insights for weary homeschoolers: “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Gal. 6:9-10).
The Gospel Comes with a Housekey
(Biblical Worldview)
What did God use to draw a radical, committed unbeliever to Himself? Did He take her to an evangelistic rally? Or, since she had her doctorate in literature, did He use something in print? No. God used an invitation to dinner in a modest home from a humble couple who lived out the gospel daily, simply and authentically. With this story of her conversion as a backdrop, Rosaria Butterfield will invite you into her home to show you how God can use this same “radical, ordinary hospitality” to bring the gospel to your lost friends and neighbors. Such hospitality sees our homes as not our own, but as God’s tools for the furtherance of His Kingdom, as we welcome those who look, think, believe, and act differently from us into our everyday, sometimes messy lives — helping them see what true Christian faith really looks like.
