Workshop types, tracks, and categories
Workshop types are varied to bring you fresh ways to learn and leave with valuable training:
- Keynote/General Session: Usually about an hour and a half long, these sessions include special announcements, videos, singing, and a main address. Nothing else is open or running during this session so you can enjoy it as a family.
- Traditional Workshops: 50-minutes with a featured speaker.
- Tips & Tricks Workshops: Participants will receive specific strategies (and perhaps even specific tools to bring home) to address a specific challenge in managing life as a homeschool parent/family.
- Conversation Cafe Workshops: 45 minutes over lunch break with time to eat while listening/participating in a guided discussion in a casual setting. Each participant will have the opportunity to think through more personally how they can apply what they are learning in this session. It is designed to be much more interactive than typical workshops.
Workshop tracks are dedicated sessions that focus on a specific topic.
- Homeschooling Intro: For anyone looking to learn the basics of homeschooling, this track (held pre-conference on Wednesday) will give you tools and help to start off right!
- High School & Beyond: For current or soon-to-be high school students and parents, this track will help you plan and execute a high-quality high school career that launches students into next steps.
- Cognitive Learning: Learn skills to help you help your children to be the best they can be and reach their full potential!
- Youth Features: Teens ages 13 and older are invited to these professionally-run programs. (Available as an add-on to your family’s full conference pass.)
- Children’s Features: Bring your kids (ages 6-12) for these incredibly fun activities filled with learning opportunities! (Available as an add-on to your family’s full conference pass.)
Workshop categories are assigned to each session to give you a quick preview of the content and help you narrow down your interests.
