The Enduring Word Museum

We are bringing The Enduring Word Museum to you! Step back in time and experience the incredible story of how God’s Word was preserved and shared through centuries of written communication. Families can explore authentic artifacts and manuscripts that bring biblical history to life, and deepening appreciation for the Scriptures. Don’t miss the chance to see a working Gutenberg Press replica in action, offering a hands-on look at one of the most world-changing inventions in history!

The Enduring Word Museum has an extraordinary collection of biblical artifacts from as early as 3500 BC, to our newest piece being a 1st edition 1611 King James Version of the Bible. This collection tells the story of how we got the Bible in English. All the artifacts are authentic pieces of history with one exception, a 9’ tall reproduction of Jahannes Gutenberg’s printing press. We use these God given treasures to answer people’s questions on how the Bible came to be in our language. Our primary focus is to show, beyond doubt, that the Bible we have is exactly what God wanted us to have, we can trust it and must read it to learn His ways. Secondary to that purpose, is to offer presentations on many topics related to the creation, care, translations, and distribution of the Bible in Europe, and America, and in locations far away.

Details

  • Available ALL THREE DAYS of the conference.
  • Every individual, 3 years and older, will need a ticket to enter and you can reserve your time slot when registration opens.
  • $3/person to enter the museum

John and Angel Sliffe are the directors and curators of The Enduring Word Museum. They have 6 kids and 14 grandkids found mostly in Texas, but with two in the military, they can be scattered until their return. John is a 24-year retired veteran of the US Air Force and 100% disabled from injuries incurred while serving in Iraq. He was a Bible skeptic until he was in his mid-forties! Traveling across America and to foreign countries with the museum showing evidence the Scriptures are true and accurate has been a calling by God and they gladly serve Him in this position.

Raising Dangerous Sons in a Safe and Mediocre World with Todd Wilson

Let’s face it! Most men today are yellow-bellied, lilly-livered weenies. They may wear tall Stetsons, drive fast cars, bungee jump from bridges, collect souped-up power tools, and carry big black Bibles, but they’re weenies. They flex their biceps and proclaim their faith, but when the economy collapses, the newest pandemic hits the scene, a family crisis arises, or the going gets tough…they play it safe. Truth is: God wants your sons to leave the heavily-populated, safe waters and live dangerously. He wants your sons to trust dangerously, work dangerously, and love dangerously. But, that doesn’t come naturally. Everyone around them, from the talking heads in the media to pastors in the pulpit, keep repeating, “Play it safe.” Here’s a secret: dangerous living leads to joy, family happiness, and real success while safe living results in worry, family failure, and heartache. So join Todd as he encourages you and your sons to GET DANGEROUS.
