Cracking the Code of Math Struggles: Understanding and Overcoming Dyscalculia
(Unique Learning Track)
When a child struggles with math — whether it’s recognizing numbers, memorizing math facts, or solving word problems — school quickly becomes discouraging. Many parents are told that dyscalculia, sometimes called “math dyslexia,” is a lifelong condition that their child must adapt to. The truth is, there is real help and real hope. In this workshop, you’ll learn how brain research has uncovered the root causes of dyscalculia and math difficulties, and you’ll discover effective interventions that go beyond endless practice or temporary accommodations. You’ll walk away with practical knowledge and encouragement to help your child gain lasting confidence and success in math.
Calm Minds, Bright Futures: Reducing Anxiety to Boost Academic Performance
(Unique Learning Track)
Anxiety can directly impact learning, and difficulties with learning can be a significant source of anxiety for children. Many students find themselves in a vicious cycle where anxiety and learning difficulties fuel each other. In this workshop, we’ll help you understand this relationship and, most importantly, how to quell anxiety and improve learning for good!
