Beverly Jacobson
Verity’s Village
Beverly is a military wife, homeschooling mother of 9, and advocate for the unborn and those with special needs. When she and her husband learned their 9th baby had Edwards Syndrome, they began researching in order to prepare for the unknown. Beverly is the founder of the nonprofit organization Verity’s Village, which provides hope, encouragement, education, and practical resources with families who receive a life-limiting diagnosis for their babies. She enjoys public speaking, a good cup of coffee (made Italian-style), and walking the wooded trails near her Colorado home.
Speaker Sessions
Pro-Life Apologetics
(Biblical Worldview)
What about genetic anomalies? For families who are seeking to get more involved in the pro-life movement, this session helps listeners understand what parents experience when they receive a prenatal diagnosis. This workshop has two main objectives: to equip the audience to speak with compassion and truth to the conversation related to abortion in the case of genetic anomalies, and to encourage the audience to take action steps to support their local pro-life organizations as well as families who are affected by these circumstances.
Homeschooling for the Long Haul
(Homeschool How-To’s)
Beverly’s signature talk helps audience members first identify and then focus on the WHY behind their personal decision to homeschool. Laying a strong foundation for the mission of homeschooling helps families sustain for the long haul, no matter how many “interruptions” or how different reality often is compared to expectations!
Surviving and Thriving in Transition
(Homeschool How-To’s)
9 children. 4 deployments. 9 military moves. 13 different addresses. Beverly is no stranger to change! This workshop gives participants practical ideas for keeping Jesus first and continuing to homeschool throughout the inevitable ebbs and flows of life.
From Heartache to Hope
(Family Discipleship)
This raw presentation gives audience members a glimpse into the most difficult seasons of the Jacobsons’ journey, inviting and teaching them to persevere in life and homeschooling and overcome despite a personal or family crisis. Listeners will be reminded to center themselves on truth; educate themselves on what their next steps may be; and position themselves for what God will do next in their lives.
