Douglas Pietersma

Douglas along with his wife, Tifara, home educate their two children, as well as serving as the interim pastor for a church plant ministry in Wyoming. Dr. Pietersma served in the US Air Force for 20 years and is presently working as a curriculum writer of Spanish home education language courses, a researcher in the field of home education with National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI), and the director of a church-based home education support ministry. Dr. Pietersma is also the founder and owner of AltaMeta Language Services, providing linguistic services that include translation, and tailored language training in Spanish.

This workshop is for you if you know you want to homeschool, but you’re not sure how to do it legally. Douglas Pietersma will cover the legal requirements of Colorado’s Homeschool Law, so that you can be confident that you are homeschooling legally! Perhaps you have heard that Colorado Law also allows families to homeschool under the umbrella of a private school, such as the CHEC Independent School. We will cover the basics of this option as well.
