Join the Team
The conference weekend is always energetic and uplifting! If you would like to get in behind the scenes and help make the conference a success, consider how your family can get involved this year. We need over 300 volunteers to make this year’s conference run smoothly!
Volunteer
You are invited to use your talents and gifts to help others at this year’s conference! Our volunteer program is super simple — sign up, get trained, have fun, and still stay focused on the resources, training, and encouragement that you are looking for from the conference! No prior experience is needed.
There are a variety of areas to serve and each one has fun tasks to complete (see each link below for full details). Dads, moms, grandparents, young adults, and empty nest homeschool parents are all welcome and needed. We would love to have you join our volunteer team! Choose an option below to learn more about each position and sign up now!!

Volunteering for workshop hospitality is a GREAT way to ensure you get to meet and hear your favorite speakers, and a fun way to serve at the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference! We are changing things up for 2025 and our Workshop Hospitality team will be covering numerous rooms at one time. Thank you for giving of your time and serving others!
Responsibilities of Workshop Hospitality:
- Watch the training video (provided by email after volunteer registration is completed)
- Check in at the Volunteer Office prior to your shift for any final instructions
- Arrive in the workshops zone at the start of your shift to greet the various speakers. Make sure that they have everything they need to be comfortable including any A/V needs. You will complete this same task for each room you are assigned to monitor.
- Count the number of attendees in each room and turn those counts into the Volunteer office.
- Maintain order – including helping with strollers being placed outside of workshop rooms, putting up signs on doors when workshops are full, etc.
Training: Training will be done via a recorded video for you to watch at your convenience. This training video will be available on May 1st. There will also be an optional LIVE Zoom meeting for you to get any questions you have answered on Wednesday, June 4th, and Thursday, June 5th. After filling out the volunteer form below you will receive an email with this information.
Please note: Once you select a workshop hospitality area and complete your volunteer form, we are counting on you to serve in that area. If your plans change, please let us know ASAP so we can look for another volunteer.
Position is for adults and students 13 and older who are registered for the full conference.
Are you interested in helping serve at a unique conference extra event on Thursday, June 12?
The Logan County Extension Agent, Brian Kailey, will be setting up six different stations to help our attendees understand agriculture in a new and fun way. These stations will include exhibits on sustainable fiber sourcing and dyeing, rangeland conservation strategies, groundwater management practices, the vital role of honey bees in pollination, modern dairy farming techniques, and the fascinating journey of chick development from egg to hatchling. Visitors can explore different stations that will be interactive, hands-on, and a great learning experience for the whole family.
We are looking for volunteers to help with check-in and guiding participants around various activities and stations.
Please note: All exhibit hall volunteers must be over 13 and registered for the conference.

Volunteer Policies
- Please be aware that childcare is not provided during the conference or training (if applicable). Please make other arrangements for your children.
- Volunteer benefits vary by position and time served; see each position page (linked above) for full details.
- Empty nest homeschool parents can register for free (see specific volunteer forms for information on how to register).
- In order not to offend the sensibilities of others, and to maintain a professional appearance, we ask that all volunteers please dress according to the following dress code guidelines: Clothing should be “Relaxed Business Casual.” Please be sure that shirts, tops, skirts, and pants are modest and loose fitting. Although they may fit within some definitions of “Relaxed Business Casual” attire, we ask that you avoid the following: Tennis shoes, flip flops, shorts, jeans that have holes, skinny jeans, leggings (unless worn with a skirt or long tunic top), casual t-shirts.
- It is CHEC’s intent that our volunteers reflect the excellence with which CHEC seeks to serve our constituency. Given that most folks see us only once per year, we want to make a very positive impression on them by conveying professionalism combined with friendliness and approachableness. Our outward appearance is an important way that we can convey these values!
Join thousands of other homeschoolers this June 12-14th at the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference. Expect to have a lot of fun and fellowship with other homeschool families, find great deals on curriculum, and get practical encouragement for your homeschooling at our workshops and general sessions!
