CHILDREN’SActivities
These Christ-centered children’s activities invite kids into a joy-filled mix of hands-on learning, creativity, and active play, all rooted in God’s Word and truth. From art, theater, music, nature, and sewing to Bible-based stories, fossils, and faith-filled character building, every session is designed to spark wonder while strengthening skills and confidence. Throughout the week, children will laugh, create, explore, and make new friends!
Bring your kids for these incredibly fun activities filled with learning opportunities!
- Each program is professionally run by trusted organizations and presenters with adult supervision.
- Children can be checked into these activities, or parents may stay and attend with them. (No charge for parents to stay).
- Adult volunteers have undergone background checks, and we use a safe check-in system for children 12 and under.
- Make sure you download your registration “tickets” before the conference and this will make checking in your children to these activities a breeze!

Imagine your kids asking you if they can practice their math facts more! In this workshop, your students (ages 5-8) will play fabulous and effective math card games that are easy and fun. Participants will receive a set of cards and instructions from RightStart Mathematics and play addition and multiplication games during the session.

Suit Up! The Armor of God

As students (ages 5-12) discover how God designed the axolotl’s DNA to regrow parts of its body, they’ll be reminded of an even greater truth: God gives us new hearts and renews our minds through His Spirit and Word. As students (ages 5-12) investigate roly-polies, ladybugs, bats, and more, they’ll practice the important skill of observation – learning to carefully study God’s world in order to discover what is true. Just as creation teaches us to tell what something is (and is not), God’s Word equips us to discern truth from falsehood in culture and society. Kids will learn skills in keen observation and nature study, as well as careful handling of the Word of God.

We will have a brief PowerPoint presentation explaining fossils and how they are formed, as well as dinosaurs and the Bible. We will explore the evidence showing that man and dinosaurs existed together, just as the Bible reveals. We will study the Scripture’s description of the unicorn, behemoth, and dragons — which are NOT make-believe creatures, but real animals that man was very familiar with. Then, students will participate in a hands-on, interactive fossil lab. Students (ages 5-12) will see and handle various fossil specimens. They will be instructed to observe design and evidence of catastrophic geology (the Flood), which proclaims the truth of Scripture. Come and “Discover Creation! ”

Theater is not all that it seems to be! In this presentation, Felicity Wales explores the joys of theater and gives children (ages 5-8) an opportunity to learn acting skills such as projecting loud enough for the audience to hear, staying focused on the scene, being a background character, and showing emotions, through interactive games. These skills will be put into practice through a couple of skits from the Bible, such as Paul’s conversion and the feeding of the 5 ,000.

Charcoal can capture the mystique of a landscape in ways that few other media can. In this project, students (ages 9-12) use value and shading to portray perspective and shadow. The Origin of Life: God’s Grand Design

In this presentation, we will study the “intelligent design ” concept. The science of archaeology is based on this concept, and we use it every day of our lives. Next, students (ages 9-12) will explore the evidence for God’s handiwork. We find complex designs in nature, which only an intelligent Designer could create. According to mathematical probabilities and the science of chemistry, there is 0% chance that evolution could happen. So what is the alternative ? Come and see!

Sew Much Fun! Create Your Own Drawstring Bag

Calling all creative girls aged 9-12 ! In this hands-on sewing workshop, girls will stitch, create, and have a blast while learning a practical life skill. Each participant will receive fabric to make her very own drawstring bag to take home. Along the way, girls will learn how to hand-sew seams, fold and stitch the top to create a hem-like casing, and insert a drawstring — just like real seamstresses do! They’ll also practice sewing on buttons, building confidence with needle and thread. This fun, encouraging class celebrates creativity, patience, and God-given abilities while teaching girls life skills that they can use for years to come. We will explore the evidence showing that man and dinosaurs existed together, just as the Bible reveals. We will study the Scripture’s description of the unicorn, behemoth, and dragons — which are NOT make-believe creatures, but real animals that man was very familiar with. Then, students will participate in a hands-on, interactive fossil lab. Students (ages 5-12) will see and handle various fossil specimens. Creation Explorers / Creation Without a Bang!

Children (ages 5-8) will journey through the seven days of creation in this fun, interactive experience! Each “day” includes a themed station — light, land, animals, and more — where they can draw, build, or explore God’s world through hands-on play. With storytelling from Hannah’s children's book (set to release in Spring 2026), crafts, and Scripture, they’ll see creation come alive, and they’ll leave in awe of their Creator.
The Origin of Life: God’s Grand Design

In this presentation, we will study the “intelligent design ” concept. The science of archaeology is based on this concept, and we use it every day of our lives. Next, students (ages 9-12) will explore the evidence for God’s handiwork. We find complex designs in nature, which only an intelligent Designer could create. According to mathematical probabilities and the science of chemistry, there is 0% chance that evolution could happen. So what is the alternative ? Come and see!
Lessons in Charcoal: Curious Puppy

A heartwarming project in the expressive world of charcoal drawing. This project guides students (ages 5-8) step-by-step as they bring a sweet, wide-eyed puppy to life, using simple shading techniques and playful texture. In less than an hour, they’ll explore the magic of light and shadow while creating a piece full of personality and warmth.
Story Island
Saturday, June 13th | 3:40 PM - 4:30 PM

- Cost to participate: $15
Come sail away to an interactive adventure full of stories, songs, games, and more — all tied together with some valuable life lessons rooted in God's Word! In this session, we'll dive into topics such as fear, courage, God's nearness, and peace of mind. Students (ages 5-8) will leave with a take-home activity kit to reinforce the lessons learned.

- Search for your confirmation email sent when you first registered. (The subject line is “Registration Confirmation - 2026 Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference” from Christian Home Educators of Colorado (ChristianHomeEducatorsofColorado@ticketspice.com).
- Scroll to the bottom of the email and you’ll see the link to "Set Up Account Now" and click it.
- Add email address & password to claim your account.
- If you already have an account simply log in!
- Click on "Tickets" in the top blue navigation bar
- Find the order you want to edit and click "View Details"
- Click the green "Edit" button
- Make your desired changes.
- To add a ticket, scroll to the bottom of the current tickets and look for the green button that says “add ticket.” It will be right before Conference Extras/Conference Recordings.
- To add conference add-on’s you’ll need to find the person/ticket and click whichever activities you’d like updated. Just click on the boxes of the items you want to add and that will become active.
- Remember that we do not issue any refunds so if you try to cancel items off of your order it will give you an error message and you will not be able to proceed.
- Scroll down and click "Save"
- There may be a change in the fee value if you update your registration.
Please keep in mind that name badges are being printed on a regular basis so if you add an entire ticket/individual to your family pass we would sure appreciate you emailing registrationconf@chec.org to make sure we see this update.
