Speaker Sessions

The Family That Stays Together Stays Together
(Family Discipleship)
God created marriage and the family. Home education is a lifestyle of learning where parents and children do life together. Working, eating, reading books aloud, and watching movies all contribute to creating the unique chemistry within a family.

Family Communication U-See
(Homeschool How-To)
After exploring the foundational concepts of being an honest and open communicator, we will break into small groups and practice what we have learned. Healthy relationships are based on safe principles of communication.

Family Worship U-See
(Homeschool How-To)
Steve begins by relating the ingredients for a doable plan of family worship and shares the obstacles he wrestled with to lead his own family. Then, we will break up into small groups and practice having family devotions. Come and be equipped and encouraged.

Good News for Earnest Parents
(Family Discipleship)
Believing the good news in our innermost being is transformative and restorative. We can only give to our children what we have received ourselves. As we comprehend God’s care and affection in new ways, we will be able to minister the same to our families.

From Crisis to Christ – The Journey of a Husband and Father
(Family Discipleship)
2012 was the hardest and best year of Steve’s life. On the one hand, he had personal blindspots revealed, which caused pain to those who were closest to him. At the same time, God revealed His unconditional love in a new way. By God’s grace, Steve is now in the best place he has ever been with his wife and sons.

Raising a Special Needs Child and Finding Support for the Journey
(Family Discipleship, Unique Learning)
Come listen to Steve’s testimony of the last 30 years as the father of a child with special needs. He shares what his family has learned and the special, rewarding, and joyful role John has played in their lives. Even in the difficult experiences of life, God proved faithful, and His grace sustained them and brought good out of their struggles and disappointments.
